Meet our Staff

Unaka Internal Medicine, LLC was founded in 2006 with the vision of creating a medical practice that treats every patient with dignity and first-rate care. The nurses and office staff at Unaka Internal Medicine, LLC, are highly-trained and exceptionally friendly. We understand that for many, visiting a doctor can be a stressful experience. Our comfortable surroundings and compassionate medical professionals will ease your fears.

Charles G. Miller, DO Board Certified in Internal Medicine	Dr. Miller lived in Erwin for more than 20 years before moving to Pikeville, Kentucky, to attend medical school. He completed his residency at Norton Community Hospital in Norton, Virginia. Dr. Miller returned to Erwin in July 2006, to open Unaka Internal Medicine. He currently lives in Unicoi with his wife Heather, daughter Olivia, and son Carson. Dr. Miller is active at Maranatha Tabernacle in Unicoi and enjoys gardening, fishing and occasional golf. Holly Falin, FNP	Holly was raised in Johnson City and currently resides in Gray with her husband Wade and daughters Laney and Macey. Holly is a graduate of East Tennessee State University. She has been a nurse for 7 years with previous experience in Women's Health. Holly enjoys music and time with her family. She is an active member at Grace Freewill Baptist Church. She strives to help patients reach their individual health goals.
Heather Miller Office Manager	Heather was raised in Unicoi County and graduated from ETSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Education. She has worked in the health field for 12 years, much of this time providing diabetes education to residents of Southwest Virginia. She is excited to be back in the county and looks forward to using her experience to benefit the community. She lives in Unicoi with Dr. Miller, their daughter Olivia, and son Carson. Heather is also an active member of Maranatha Tabernacle in Unicoi.
Tonia Coward Certified Medical Assistant	Over the 10 years of Tonia's medical career, she states that "the most rewarding part is knowing that I'm helping others". She also admits to really enjoying the fellowship with patients and their families. Tonia's family has been instrumental in her career with their love and support.
Kelly Weaver Licensed Practical Nurse	We are pleased to welcome Kelly Weaver to our practice. Kelly has lived in Johnson City most of her life and is a dedicated wife and mother of two. Kelly graduated from Tennessee Technology Center at the top of her class. She is excited about joining our family and getting to know our patients.
Pam Lewis Administrative Assistant	Pam has been with Unaka Internal Medicine since the beginning in July 2006. She has been in the medical field for 20 years. She enjoys participating in the care of the patients. She and her husband, Waylon, have been happily married for 20 years and live in the southern end of Unicoi County. They have one daughter.
Annie Honeycutt Administrative Assistant	Annie has been in the medical field for almost seven years. She enjoys all aspects of getting to know the patients and helping them in any way possible. She lives in Erwin with her three spoiled dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family and "tending" to the family's big garden in her spare time.
Gaynell Hughes Administrative Assistant	Gaynell joined our practice in 2010. She has lived in Unicoi County all of her life. She enjoys meeting the new patients and catching up with the familiar faces. She "enjoys helping people and making them smile". Gaynell has been happily married to her husband, Nick, for three years and has a wonderful son, Brian.
